Morning Cup of Coffee: Pannikin Coffee & Tea

Pannikin has been around since the 1960's and boasts a classic La Jolla vibe. You'll run into all the locals here. If you like their brew, which we're sure you will, you can purchase a bag that their coffee experts have carefully selected from regions in Indonesia, Central and South America, and Africa. If you ever find yourself further North, stop at the Pannikin's original location in Leucadia.
Jason's pick? A cup of coffee and a freshly baked muffin.
Brunch: Beaumont's Eatery

Beaumont's truly lives by its motto "Eat, Drink, Vibe". Whether you're looking for a boozy brunch, or just brunch the menu will not disappoint. Enjoy a grilled cheese benedict with a mimosa while you listen to the musical stylings of their daily live musicians. Beaumont's is the perfect precursor to a fun weekend in La Jolla.
Jason's pick? Don't You Judge Me. We're not quite sure what's in it, but we are sure it consists of some combination of champagne, juice and other booze.
Lunch: George's at the Cove

Some might say George's is an obvious pick, but for those who are not familiar with the numerous awards this restaurant has received, here is a recap:

Appetizers: Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Eddie V's might be known for their steaks, but don't underestimate their fresh chilled seafood. The oyster bar offers a number of delicious and unique creations, many of which are on their happy hour menu. Sip on one of their specialty hand-crafted cocktails while you enjoy an order of Hawaiian yellowtail sashimi.
Jason's pick? The Maine Lobster Tacos.
Happy Hour: Herringbone

You can't beat the ambiance or the cocktail menu at Herringbone. You'll sit beneath 100-year old olive trees adorned with twinkling lights while you admire the eclectic, trendy restaurant design. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4-6.
Jason's pick? Don't Mez With Me - El silencio mezcal, ancho chili liqueur, ginger beer, bitters, and lime.
Dinner/Entree: El Pescador Fish Market & Restaurant

El Pescador has been around since the 1970's and at their La Jolla location since the 1980's. They offer casual, simple, fresh local fish that you can take home from their fully functioning fish market as well as enjoy for dinner.
Jason's pick? Just ask one of the El Pescador staff and take their word for it. You won't be disappointed.
Dessert: Piatti Italian Restaurant and Bar

Piatti's is located in La Jolla Shores and offers a quaint space for dining indoors or al fresco. With numerous other locations, the restaurant has been pleasing customers with their extensive wine list and authentic Italian recipes all over the West Coast.
Jason's pick? Chocolate bread pudding. 'Nuff said.
Nightcap: Hennessy's Tavern

La Jolla is one of the quieter parts of San Diego when the sun sets, but if you're looking for some late-night fun look no further than Hennessy's Irish Tavern. With great bar food and numerous craft beers on tap, it's a great place to listen to a live Irish band and enjoy time with friends.
Jason's pick? The pub nachos and a local brew.
